 Devin Green

Devin Green a 20-year-old black man was born on May 8, 2003. Devin grew up in a two-parent home with a brother and a sister. He was born on the south side of Chicago, but shortly after moved to the south suburbs. As a kid he was always involved and active whether it was sports or activities in general. Overall, Devin had 10 siblings but only stayed with three of them, he's the second youngest out of all of them. As mentioned, he was very involved, and the initial sport was baseball. Following baseball he started football, basketball, swimming, and track. 

His parents decided after just two years of Football it will be too much of a safety hazard and it really broke his heart. So, the dream he grasped sports wised was basketball. Devin played on his first organized basketball team in 6th grade. During the summer every year he was involved in summer camp around his neighborhood and had to experience it with his younger sister. He initially moved away from the city because of better educational opportunities and insurance of his safety. Academically his parents always limited him to bringing home nothing than a high c.  As he transitioned to middle school he gathered his first experience of independency socially, educationally, and physically. Middle school only exposed the true version of him, and he displayed he remained his authentic self. He continued his basketball journey throughout his two years of middle school and was anxious to transfer
it too high school. 

As Devin got the into the ropes of high school, he was introduced to a higher level of being independent. He went throughout high school with only two friends. Although a lot of high schoolers become tempted to the peer pressure, he stayed focused on the task at hand. He always participated in the school extracurricular activities such as all the homecomings and eventually prom. As for everyone else covid surfaced and effected Devin in ways he'd never imagine. Covid surfaced 2020 and basically stripped Devin of his senior year journey and experience.
